David </div></div>I traded in an early 99 small turbo only to get a new fancy 08 that doesn't get any better mileage (more power though). 13 ish unloaded driven sensible, 11 ish local/highway work duty, 8 ish towing 6000 lb enclosed trailer @ 75-80 mph.

From what I have seen posted shoot for 10 all around mileage. Anything better will just be gravy on your steak.

expect about the same i'm only getting about 13 with only 1000 miles, i'm hoping it will get better with break in & my lieometer is right on the money.

more turbo boost = more fuel. One thing I noticed right off my 08 F350 is 4-5 lbs of boost higher at lower speeds/start and stop than my 06 F250. That second turbo is part of the fuel consumption issue.
In my 08 with 1800 miles on it, I get 12.2 around town by the meter, and it pretty much makes sense from looking at the odometer, but I havent done a hand calc.
Both prior vehicles (02, 07) were in the 14's, low 14's when new, and higher 14's after break in in the same exact driving conditions, same route
Towing 10K the 02 got high 12's, hand calculated multiple times across country, never towed on the highway with the 6.0, but the 08 got 10.5 hand calculated over 550 miles. So the 2 mpg diff is pretty accurate
To tell you the truth, the 2 mpg drop sucks big time LOL its amazing how you notice the gauge drop faster, however, the quality and silence of the truck and how it drives makes up for it over earlier models.
Just barely makes up for it to be honest, but it does.

I'm only guessing but I'd say I'm getting around 11 or 12 mpg with my dually and 3.73 gears. The computer says 10.9 as of today and it moves up every day. I have about 1,500 miles on the truck. My 2003.25 dually with 4,10 gears got about 13 mpg all around and as stated above, this truck makes up for it with the quality. I just did a 225 mile each way trip yesterday and I filled the tank before I left and had to fill it on the way home and had about 5/8's of a tank left. When I get serious, I'll waste the time and fill it up to the neck to do a real test. I wish this was like my Sprinter van, it fills to the top (I can see it in the neck) every time on the first click off of the fuel pump nozzle.
I'm not going to say I'm happy with the mileage but, I expected it....I just didn't expect to pay $3.56 a gallon like I saw today at a Shell on Rt. 60 in Vero today

I'm running an F350 with 4.10 axles and my mileage has been as follows:
250 miles on odometer, 9.9 computer, 9.91 hand calc
600 miles, 10.1 comp, 10.15 hand calc
750 miles, 10.2 comp, 10.21 hand
1025 miles, 10.5 comp, 10.66 hand
I just filled up today and that is the 1025 mile figure above. My '03 6.0 on the same route was getting 13.9 MPG with 80,000 miles on the clock.
