Towing 11K travel trailer, I got 7.5 against a 30+ headwind, but normally get around 9 under average wind conditions. Will know more in a few weeks when we go 1500 miles to Minnesota and back.

I get between 9 and 10 towing a 25' equipment trailer. No trailer and unloaded - I average 16.5 or so.

I have a '09 F350 DRW, but I got a solid 10.x mpg carrying a 2,000# camper and towing a ~8,000 24' enclosed trailer some 3,400 miles at ~65 mph. Unloaded in mixed driving I'm getting in the 14-15 mpg range depending on the highway / city mix. This is the stock truck, no modifications, tuners, etc.

I have 08 350 SRW auto. Got 8.1 on 2K trip in Jan, got 8.2 on 2k trip back in April. Thus us pulling a 36' about 11K trailer. Get about 11.2-.5 pulling a 4K trailer on shorter 200+ mile trip. On highway no pull Best I have gotten is 15.4 keeping the boost below 1/2 trying to stay at least 1/4, using cruise it will drop to 13-13.5 I am very happy with everything, but the mileage compared to my 2002 is about 3-5 mpg less.

Fuel is rising back fast..up $ .50 within a month or so.

I see about the same, 13-13.5 empty. 9-10.5 pulling 6-8k. had the new flash back in january and saw the mpg drop to these numbers. was getting 14-15 empty. I drive the mountains of Colorado. When down in the flatlands I do get 1-1.5 mpg better. I'm not as unhappy as some, i came from a 96 powerstroke that got 15 empty.

i have a job3 f350, long bed, auto with 4x4 that is stock.

08 F-350 drw, 3.73 gears 14.4 empty, hand calc, 70mph, interstate. 9.4 towing 7000lb, 70mph, interstate. Oh yeah, only 2000 miles on truck. Old 260,000 mile 7.3 got 10 towing same trailer, 13.3 empty. But for the ride and quiet of the 08 I'd give up more mpg. Regens about once per tank. Seems like the harder it's run, the less it regens. Haven't had a flash or anything done yet.

My mileage has increased quite a bit lately. I've been having some issues w/ the DPF. Dealer told me to start using the Ford Cetane Boost as well. While that has not rectified my black smoke/soot issue, the truck runs like a scalded dog and gets between 19 and 20 mpg at 70-75mph. Mixed city/highway I can't get her below 18. This is un-loaded - no trailer. Clearly I've got an issue w/ the DPF, but she's running good! Not sure if the cetane booster had anything to do with that or not - I started using that when this other issue arose. Just an FYI. The truck has 3.73's, 20" wheels, and 85K miles.

08 F-350 DRW Torqshift--5500 miles. On my last trip pulling 12K horse trailer--about 9-9.5. This was after a trip 14 day ago with the trailer loaded with one less horse and actually got 6.7 on one tank--averaged around 7-7.5. Talked to dealer--and salemen told me to try turning off tow/haul when at highway speed. He said when they got these trucks in Ford gave the salespeople very little sales help with MPG. So this dealership let a group of people pulling cattle stock trailers borrow the trucks if they drove them to their specifications and varying conditions and report back on mileage---and they saw this MPG boost when kicking off tow/haul at highway speeds. Don't know if this is legitimate--but it did seem to help on this trip, or truck is just breaking in more. So that's what mine is getting and FWIW.

I get 10 MPG pulling an 8500 lb 5er at at 65 MPH all day everyday. Of course there's more wind resistance to overcome than with a regular trailer.

I don't really drive the truck on the highway unloaded enough to see what kind of MPGs it gets. It does seem that it gets better mileage from the short trips I've done without the trailer going 65-70 as opposed to 60.

I've got a 3.73 LSD.

Cool Fuel Milage

New 08 350 SRW On trip to Colo got 8.1 to 8.5 pulling a 7000 Toy hauler trailer. Mileage same in Colo mountain 11,000 ft elevation or 400 ft elevation in home state of Texas. Love the truck except for the mileage?? Excursion with PSD got 14-16 pulling same trailer (Not as good thought)
