Aberdeen WA Five Star Ford service department told me on Monday that a brand new part is being made to fix this problem and it isn't available yet. It will be available soon, though. The service guy sounded like Ford really did have a new solution to the problem. I gave him this web site and a lot of comments off of it so he could read for himself what other owners have experienced. I'm just relaying what they told me; if they are BS-ing me I won't know for a couple weeks. Their number is 360-553-3673 if anyone wants to call them to get more details.
i took my truck in for the same thing. dealer said it was the intercooler and there is no fix for it as of now. said that they would call ford and find out when a new intercooler will be released.
I looked like I was spraying for mosquitos yesterday, with the amount of white smoke pouring from the exhaust! More background was outside temp at 37 degrees and around 80% humidity. Engine temp was approximately 145 degrees and i was accelerating uphill with around 22 lbs. boost. On top of it all, my Job 1 started into the regen cycle before the engine was up to temp... Yep... It seems my smoke was caused by my truck anticipating my need to drive uphill while it was still below engine operating temeratures during regens!!! It sure is nice to get the alerts from the Edge when the truck goes into regen, as I still don't have the flash updates that folks have been describing.

TSB 08-25-1 Ford has a new intercooler (or charge air cooler); this is for trucks that blow the white smoke after extended steady state driving in high moisture situations; with white smoke occuring following this steady state driving and not during a regen.
see summary in subsequent post...or have your dealer look up the TSB

White smoke in damp weather conditions when accelerating; trucks built before Oct 1, 2008
Concern is described as significant amounts of white smoke from the exhaust pipe.
White smoke only occurs in high humidity or rainy conditions above 40 °F (4 °C).
White smoke only appears during a moderate to heavy tip-in that is performed after a period of steady state driving (approximately 20 minutes)
No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are present.
Concern is not a result of regeneration, a cleaning exhaust filter event.
If all of the criteria above is true, then replace the Charge Air Cooler Assembly with a new revised part

Does anyone know the difference between the two intercoolers? Less restricted / different air charge routing internally ???? Inquiring minds!
i just got mine 3 weeks ago and it has 1kmi. today while climbing a hill with no load it poured the white smoke, reved on its own, and then shut itself down. i did have a check e light, i had it towed to my dealer and i will post the results

To fix the white smoke problem, Five Star Ford of Aberdeen just installed a new “Charge Air Cooler Assembly” into my F350 diesel. The part number is 7C3Z-6K775-B and the TSB for it is 08-25-1. They also installed a “Venturi Tee Kit into the Degas Bottle and Radiator Vent Hose.” I just picked up the truck so I don’t know if it has cured the problem or not. I’ll follow up in a couple thousand miles.
I'm having this same issue although compounded by a faulty thermostat and faulty EGR sensor. My symptoms included white smoke, blue smoke, and loss of power.
The EGR and thermo replacement got rid of the blue smoke. The sensor was bad and stopped the engine. The rubber in the thermo was wasted. The engine didn't get hot enough so the computers solution was to run the fuel mixture rich - blue smoke.
I live in a dry area and still get the white smoke. I also have a loss of power where I go from 75% boost to 25% in a heartbeat. What works sometimes is to pull over and turn the key off, on, off, on, then mat it and get underway. I always have a 30' GNFB in tow and I'm in 4WDLow 33% of the time running up and down steep grades.
The guys are going to set up an in-flight data recorder on Monday to help diagnose. That TSB above that says not to diagnose has me concerned. Maybe it's the charge air cooler assy, maybe not.
Update: I took it in again, this time mainly because the TPMS sensors keep coming apart inside the tire (that'll be whole other post!) Anyway, they are going to replace the CAC per the TSB mentioned in this thread. I'm also going to get my second radiator. Looks like it'll be in the shop most of next week w/ the holiday and days off, etc... I'll let you all know the results when I get it back.

Today while pulling away from the tolls my F250 started smoking so bad I thought it was blowing up. Let off the accelerator and it seemed to go away. I only drove about another 5km before reaching my destination. When I got out of the truck I could hear what I believe was the exhaust pipe crackling. Was this the beginning of a regen cycle or something else. Truck is a Job 1, no regen message. The outside temp was cold and dry. -5C. Didn't notice any loss of power, but that may have been due to my shock of all the smoke comming from the truck.
