Truck is a 2010 350 CC SRW (built November 09 delivered December 09).
Does not sound the same. Be sure you are checking your coolant

I would tend to agree with senix. I would think that Ford would have this problem sorted out by the 2010 model year.. Do you get any stuttering or running rough?

i have a 09 sd 6.4 with the updated cac and have this same problem. i have found in my case, rain water is getting in thru the intake air filter and pooling in the lower cac hose(two cups of water comes out when i removed the hose) i currently have pics of my air filter box(filter removed) and air inlet tube (behind rf headlight) under review by ford canada enginering that clearly show dried up trails of water in the direction of airflow as well as pics of water actually running out of the cac hose. as of nov 15 2010 my dealer tells me no fix. i did not read the whole thread, maybe i am rehashing something everyone already knows. i'm also not saying the above quote is wrong, just pointing out another scenario

do you have the snow plow prep package? I am told there is no change to the air box but I have had 5' snow drifts and pouring down rain storms and my airbox is never wet.

I had the stock AF for the first 11K miles, drove that all the way to Arizona for Christmas in 2008. We had a nice snow storm from Colorado to just past Santa Fe NM (I 25)..around 6-8" plus and had no problem with that.

So have had the banks on now for 34K and no issues either. But keep in mind I pull alot of air thru mine as I am frequently towing something and I think that helps keep the cac clear.

Sweet......I'll tell my wife I need a Banks Ram Air intake for Christmas to keep the truck from "hiccuping" when we're towing

Wonder if that makes a diff, I'll have to open my air filter assy and see if there's any trace of water in there....

Some WOT's I believe help to clear the cac out as well and ensure there is not a build up.

I live in a fairly humid area and have just never had a problem.

Also one item that is food for though about the banks ram air, I just had mine out for cleaning, upon inspection of my maf and the intake tubing..I am quite comfortable that is is doing its job. Everything looked brand new inside of it. Very clean, no build up on the maf or anything.

My truck gets WOT almost every single day, and it only tows about 3x a year..........I don't abuse my stuff, but I drive it like it was built to be driven.

As far as the stumble, I still get it about every 1000 miles in the winter, maybe every 3,000 in the summer......(truck gets about 20k a year) ....I live in northern Michigan, we get tons of snow, I plow my residential driveway with the truck (no plow prep package), etc etc.

same for me on the banks CAI. I took mine apart and everything is still very clean. I clean the filter every 5K and have used it now for about 25K.

I tow alot with mine also, and this seems to be when the problem really comes to rear it's ugly head. Although it only does it above 40 degrees, never had it do it below 40. We just went through a bad drought so it hasn't done it in awhile. When I contacted Ford they said they are working on it but at this time no fix. I have had the new CAC cooler on and it did not do it for 3 or 4 months after the repair. The worst Iv'e had it happen we were coming home from Glacier and it was raining cats and dogs, seems the harder it rained the more it did it and the longer it took to clear up. There is a problem and we need to stay on them to get it fixed. The problem is it's so hard to get it to reproduce.

Took my truck in 11/22/10 due to stuttering while trying to accelrate on the freeway in the rain...

Just got my truck back from Ford after alomst 2 weeks...After two weeks I got an oil change and what I was told was a reflash...In actuality the tech didnt reflash it telling me that I had the most current calibration (WRONG!)...After explaining to him that I new it was not the most current flash he took it in the shop and flashed it. A

Anyhow, Truck is too new for the CAC TSB...ran the gambit of tests and everything came back perfect...Only problem was the oil was 2 qts over full (was last changed at dealer 3k miles ago). I asked if it was fuel that was getting in...he couldnt say either way. Told me to take it and keep an eye on it.

This weekend I plan to do my own investigating (check intake and CAC for water...)

Pull the lower CAC hose and see what there is. Pull the intake tubing and have a look. Be careful of the MAF sensor. Expensive.

Only real way to know how much fuel in the oil is with a OA. I get mine from blackstone.
