Re: Who is gonna be first..........

My 2008 F-350 crew cab was delivered to the dealership this afternoon! It was ordered on 12/18/06 and had a build date of 1/29. (today) Fords build date estimations must be way off or they are very fast on the shipping! I plan on picking it up on Wednesday afternoon, and then can post more info of what I think of it. I currently have a 2005 350 6.0 crew cab lariat with 105,000 miles. The only problem was a high pressure fuel pump failure that the dealership had repaired overnight for me. Overall I have been very impressed with how well the truck is still rattle free after 100,000 miles. The truck was used to pull my construction trailer (about 8-9000#s) weekly with no need for any performance enhancements. Is that maby a reason for all the trouble free miles???

That sucks! I ordered mine the day after Thanksgiving. My build date is 2-5-07. Maybe the tailgate step was the hold up.

Seen one on I-75 on a truck on it's way to a dealership. I liked what I seen, but I couldn't see the front of it since I was driving!

Re: Who is gonna be first..........

Did not order the tailgate step so i'm not sure if that is the reason for the delay? After looking at mine tonight it does not appear that the tailgate is any higher than my 05, even with the 20" rims. I figured when I get to the point when I need a step to get in the box of my truck I will trade it for a Lark! (Do they make it with a diesel?)

Re: Who is gonna be first..........

Very funny. 2008 C/C FX4, ordered 12-18, build date 2-22, hope to have it by Christmas. I hear all you guys on the East coast at least getting your trucks at the dealships, Here in California I have called some of the big dealers in Sacamento and the Bay Area, they tell me a month or two before they expect to see one at the dealership.

If you are wondering, yes I did order the tail gate step. Kinda glad though, still trying to figure out how to break it to my old lady I ordered a 49K truck. Thank god it is a C/C, might be living it in.

Re: Who is gonna be first..........

Doubt I will be first but I guess, I didn't get a high enough priority number as I ordered my 250 CC 6.4 the week after Thanksgiving and my build date is 2/12.

I sure hope I am lucky enough to get mine delivered on my build date because when it hits the lot I will be there to pick it up.
