I have close to 11,000 miles on my truck I think I like it more today than the day I got it if that is at all possible. After getting rid of my 03 I do not see any real increase in gallons of fuel per week. Power and smooth nature of truck destroys my 03 and I have left the scales over 24,500 lbs on two ocassions with my dump trailer, I went slow for safety but had all the power I needed.
None the less I am sure you will find a way to trash my ride.

Maybe I should beat him to the punch. You should have bought a Toyota. The 6.4's are fuel hog pieces of electronic junk. I wish I hadn't been banned from the Toyota board. How's that for my Nate impersonation?

Now, now gentlemen...lets not go off the deep end. Im not THAT bad. And besides, in a matter of days I have fallen out of lust for Tundra since the new Consumer Reports of inferior quality from Toyotaland. And you can quote that.
11,000 miles is a good start...but anyone with more mileage than that?
My dad's new F450 is coming up on 40K. His truck has been in the shop twice for warranty. The first time was the rear end and the second time was a small oil leak in the front of the motor. He just took it in for the oil leak so I have not found out where it is coming from.

Sadly for you, I've got 10K trouble free miles and nary a problem. Miles ahead in comfort and power over the previous versions I've owned. The mileage at same weight and speed is about 10% less than my 6.0. I wish I could offer more bad news for you. I'm sure you're building data for a "these trucks don't have enough mileage on them to prove anything thread". And yes, you are that bad.

I have looked at your previous posts and while I have not looked at 330 of them; I still have not seen your basis for hanging in these forums. Please share with us your current ride and if your plans are to purchae a newer heavy duty diesel pickup. I am curious as to what information your are looking to gather with this inquisative thread.

I hope this kind of information gets out to the public. Its my personal opinion that the foreign automakers have been riding a wave of public euphoria over perceived quality for several years now. Not actual quality differences, but quality that the public thinks is there just because their friends and the media tells them so.
But, I can almost guarantee you that this won't happen. Nobody will make a big mention of it. Just like how news on Toyota recalls are hidden on the back pages of CNN, but Ford and GM recalls make the front page for the entire day.
I hate the media.

Off topic but .....
Here is a good example of how Toyota does business.
Jim Lentz, executive vice president of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. told Automotive News. "Lentz said he was not surprised that the Camry V6 was on the list as it had a transmission flaw that Toyota was aware of. “We knew in the very beginning we had a transmission issue with that vehicle,” he said. The problem caused the transmission to get stuck in second gear or pass through second gear roughly. '

I am coming up to 60,000 miles on mine 08/6.4 picked it up in May of this year. Replaced exhaust censor, both turbo,s and radiator, front cover and gears, cab has been r/r so only ford knows what to do. Average 9mp gallon. Dave
Explain to me my a Toyota and a Titan this Titan that owner would be on a deisel truck site? I'm confused.
Yes this is a diesel truck site for all brands, yes. But I never understood why a Chevy or Dodge owner would want to hang out in a ford forum other than to troll? Shouldn't they be out using or enjoying their trucks and in their free time on the computer be at their respective sites if they wanna talk trucks.
Not starting anything here...just wondering.

Nate just like to tought the foreign brands, and I personally like to argue with him. Gives me the oppertunity to say that I only buy American, because I am American. I'd rather have a three on the tree half ton Ford then any Nissan Toyota or Honda.
