Why so many regen cycles

I dont understand...once every couple hundred miles.

The cummins engines wont do it for about 3-5000 miles per regen cycle?

Why is the 6.4L so different on how many times it cycles?

thanks

Re: Why so many regen cycles

Some emperical data might be nice..... The training school "mule" was in regen for two weeks before I went to the 6.4 class. Luckily, it accomplished what it wanted before I got there and we got to work with the truck "live".

FWIW, coffee shop talk is coffee shop talk.... there is always someone with bigger/better/fatter/longer/more legal/less legal/funnier/scarier... I'm sure you get my drift....

An extra FWIW..... There remains the possibility that some engineers might "roll the dice" as far as aftertreatments are concerned. This may or may not affect what happens in the future regarding DPF lifespan.

Your post leaves so many unanswered questions......
