Re: For you Ford guys that have strayed

There's plenty of positive discussion on the Dodge sites re: the 6.7L diesel, too.

Much anticipation. I hope nobody's left in a tizzy over a poor performer when these emissions trucks hit the roads.

I loved my 05' powerstroke ---- except for the 6.0 motor. The truck was payed for and had 30,000 miles when I traded it in on another brand. I was sick and tired of it breaking down on me. The first repair was at 600 miles, then every few hundred miles after that. Egr valve, wiring harness, turbo, rear seal (twice), high pressure oil pump, oil cooler etc... The truck I have now has over 5000 miles on it and has never been back to the dealer since leaving it. It also tows much better than my Ford did.
I know die hard Ford people will dispute what I say but I have the paperwork for all the days my truck spent in the shop. I also have motel receipts and expenses that were paid when it broke down on me 700 miles from home (high pressure oil pump).
I am done with Ford.

So, you may want to update your profile.... Since you no longer own it...

Sorry to hear of you troubles... I love Fords in general, but I too would be P Oed if I had that much trouble... EVERY brand has lemons, and theres proof on their sites, but it is a shame that Ford had such a dependable diesel, and then the 6.0 had to be used... oh well

Noone will know till the 6.4 is here...

Re: For you Ford guys that have strayed

I have heard plenty off guys cuss Duramaxes an Dodges too dont kid your self. Especailly somebody coming from a superduty. Ford trucks have a way off spoiling you. If you go to something else you really miss your Ford more then ever. Yah I agree though nobody deserves problems on these expensive trucks. Hopefully this new truck will be tried an proven an win all the Ford guys back. Once a Ford guy always a Ford guy despite driving another brand.
