The new interior looks like something the Jap truck builders rejected as being to over the top even for them.
As was posted every one has an opinion, and this one is MINE.
Now for the whys....
If you look past the "Oh boy it's new and shiny" and see all those fancy nooks and crannies that are molded into the interior and the SD pressed into the exterior, What you really see is a major pain in the butt to clean item.
It is tough enough to wipe the bugs off the smooth grill I have now not to mention the waxing part. Now add to the process cleaning and waxing those embossed SD words front and back and these areas are going to take a lot more effort than if they were smooth.
Now look at the interior....
All those sharp edges and chrome rings in the cup holders on the center console. You will spend a ton of time here trying to get the crud out of those seams and still not get it all. Besides the fact that to me the interior looks like a 70's Cadillac or Buick flash back, keeping it clean is going to be twice as hard.
Look at the front door pull handles, I bet they break in a couple of years. They did on those 70's cars I mentioned above.
I understand that things need to change just to keep getting folks to buy your stuff. I just see these changes this time as a wrong turn. I would not mind having the spilt zone AC or the step up tailgate though. There are some neat new features, to be sure.
As for the 6.4L time will tell. I love our 6.0L as it has been flawless. The trans is awesome too.
I hope that folks can see through the "Oh boy it's new " and look at the real things that will have to be lived with day in and day out.
For those that like it ... here you go, go get one.
I'm glad I have what I have and plan on keeping it for a long time. When and if the 6.0L gives me trouble, I will pay for an Cummins and drop it in. That should end up being a very worth while swap. As it is now, however, I love our 6.0L and it is here to stay.

I think the current Chevy front ends win the award for ugliness. Wouldnt you all agree. An the new GM HDs are definitly a turnoff for me.

Yes, I agree on Chevy but the new GMC is similiar to the current generation Superdutys and I like it. The new 1/2 ton Chevy is beyond hideous. That thing looks like a large mouth bass with a large paper clip in it's mouth running side to side.
Mostly a great indicator that they are aiming at the "show truck pimp my ride mentality" crowd, in my personal opinion, which as others have stated everyone has one. There is no work or comfort need for this kind of over the top interior pimpiness.

I have to agree, although I do like the way the loaded F450 looks, I think the grill & fender vent on the smaller trucks is too blingy myself.
Still wondering if anyone knows what the deal is with that paint scheme (painted grille, etc.). I like it better than the blingy versions you see in all the other pictures... but I'm betting that's probably the XL, which is too bare-bones for my tastes.
