3200 miles with Superchips flashpaq

I loaded up the tow/performance tune a couple of weeks ago, and hit the road pulling my 20ft, 6-7000lb enclosed car hauler from TX to OH. Made another trip from TX to KS this weekend.

Power has been a very nice improvement, they claim 50hp/100ftlbs. It stopped 95% of the down shifting out of overdrive to pull most hills. Stock, the truck would downshift at 70-72mph on almost any hill, especially on cruise control. It felt much weaker than my tuned 7.3.
Shift quality is also very good, just slightly quicker and firmer, but not harsh.

Mileage has dropped slightly. The mpg meter in the truck reads high now (just like with the 7.3 and 6.0 tuners) so hand calculations show either the same to 1 mpg less. This truck has always had mediocre mileage anyway, only getting 8-10mpg pulling this load stock. It's seen 7-10mpg with the tuner. The 7mpg came with a 25-30mph headwind, running the big hills in KS and OK on I35 at 70.

No soot in the tail pipe, regens seem to be about as often (around every 1.5 tanks), no high coolant temps. Boost is lower at cruise by about 5psi. Still gets up into the mid 30psi range when pulling hard.

I'm disappointed with the mileage, but overall driveability with the added torque is much better. If you need the added punch, this tune does the job nicely.

What are the tuned egt's compared to stock?

Re: 3200 miles with Superchips flashpaq

I was going to ask the same. What are EGT's?

If the tow setting is 50/100, what are the other settings?

How long to install?

How does the power feel unloaded (if you have driven it unloaded)?

I am debating on 1. Waiting for the Juice/Attitude, 2. Getting SCT Extreme Livewire or 3. Other boxes (Superchips FP perhaps?)

Re: 3200 miles with Superchips flashpaq

Installed my flashpaq in 08 f350 6.4 and in tow mode saw it was not supposed to be towing over 6000 lbs of towing.....took a spin down the road in both performance and tow. Could hardly tell the difference. Waste of money until they get some more upgrades. I guess I am spoiled for what a flashpaq did for my old 6.0.

Re: 3200 miles with Superchips flashpaq

No EGT data this time, I don't have a gauge hooked up on this truck, and it does not scan the OBD info like the SCT to pull EGT information from the OEM sensors.

The street setting is 77hp/146ft lbs.
