anyone know any good diesel tuners?

I'm thinking about saying screw it and opening up the breathing on my '08 ....for offroad use only.... and am hoping to find someone reputable in my area or at least someone close enough to bring my truck to and have face to face convos about what i want and how it will affect my truck in the long run etc.

Find a Spartan diesel distributor in your area, you will not be disappointed. I gained 6MPG with s@b intake spartan 275 hp tune and flo-pro 4" exhaust. This thing hauls !

PS I loved my truck before, this brings it to a whole new level.

There is this new feature on the forum its offered at the top its called the "Search" feature, you should try it! Here is just one that I know of off the top of my head After Market Programers vs. Waranty and there are many many more on this subject.

I'm well aware of the search feature... problem is that i really dont feel like reading 72 threads to find the one that answers my exact question... so I asked my question here.

by the way... know whats even easier than using the search feature.... skipping a thread that u feel like has been posted already. but hey thanks for the thread link..... to a thread that has nothing to do with what i was asking.. which makes my point ..... that was a warantee vs. tuning thread.... that mentioned the words "spartan tuner" .... you musta used that new fandangled search type thingamagig

Quit being a wimp if you play you may have to pay be prepared. All I can say is I am comfortable with the risk for the reward. A whole new truck with pre-emissions mileage. Getting tired of hearing the whining of losers who cannot really afford these trucks anyways. Dash-daq is also a great diagnostic tool.

What this means is not being able to have too much turbo boost to cause damage and more importantly EGT's keeping them within a manageable and safe parameter. Driving by the gauges means being alert to what your engine is doing in all aspects and operating appropriately. Ultimately you have you control to make it or break it.

sorry i prolly didnt word it right im very familiar with what "driving by gauges" means literally.... i was looking for a diesel translation as in what gauges i should install and pay close attention to.... and how i can properly manage staying within the parameters that are somewhat safe (damagewise) and still get the most out of my truck.

basically ..... my brother has a gt500 that just had a supersnake conversion done to it.... im thinkin i can make my truck beat it off the launch.... he cant hook up for crap with a rear wheel drive 650 horse (to the wheels) mustang im bettin lol....... and boy is he gonna wimper when he sees my 8000 lb diesel in front of him

HMMMM lets see your words "have face to face convos about what I want and how it will affect my truck in the long run. "

So if this is not Warranty or how it will affect your truck my appology! But you didn't exactly make your self clear. And as far as the post goes it was just one of the many that your lazy you know what could read. Just like the rest of us do. As far as skipping post well your right I could have but its people like you that litter these forums with question that have been asked a million times which in turn clogs the forum and cause people like me to inform you of your lazy behavior. So since your so educated why not use it and "READ"

ill handle my own warantee issues thanks... what i wanted to know is what "breakage" i should prepare myself for... as in should i basically just count the days till i lose head gaskets or are there ways to prevent that without just ripping the cab off and throwin head studs in from jumpstreet... and I was also trying to respect teh rules of the forum and not get into a convo on here only to have it deleted ... thats why i was askin to speak to someone face to face... along with the fact that im not gonna just hand over the longevity of my $50k truck with $10k of upgrades (and counting lol) to some product/installer that posts on a message board... I have to get a feel for the shop and the product and the only way to do that is to sit down with said person (in my opinion).

and as far as the "litter" ur referring to i think the cry baby crap your spewing in here is alot more disheartening to me as a member of the forum then having to read a thread that may have been discussed in the past.

You pop on here asking a qustion about Tuners my god son do you think your the first that wanted to know which one was the best? Thats what this forum is far, to read, reasearch and come up with your own decision, not have someone do it for you. As far as getting things deleted it want if you follow the Rules of the forum so I don't know what your bothered about there? If its that private then Instant message them. What your wanting is vital and valuable info. An experienced person on the forum is not gonna just come up and answer the same question over and over again you have got to know this (This is not your first forum) Do us all a favor and Search, Read, Form and educated detailed question (that hasn't been asked a million times) and post.

Sclevela, you're right for asking questions on this forum. That's what it's for. You can PM me any questions you have about the programmers and exhaust out there today. I'm not biased, I don't sell any of them, but I watch and read alot about them on these forums and have some friends experimenting. I may not have all the answers but I can point you in the right direstion to get some, not some smart@ss!

again.... im not asking for your whining... i actually wasnt asking for even on an opinion on whos progammer was best... I WAS LOOKING FOR A TUNER (READ: PERSON WHO DOES HIGH PERFORMANCE WORK ON DIESEL ENGINES.... NOT TUNER AS IN A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT .....YAH A55!) IN MY LOCAL AREA TO DISCUSS THIS WITH FACE TO FACE

and on another note your right.... i could use the search engine.... better yet we could all just google everything and never even post questions on these forums cuz im sure they have all been asked b4 somewhere on the world wide web.... but the other purpose of these forums is to communicate with other human beings socially... to foster relationships with people that you can help out in return for tehir knowledge... if we didnt want to do that from the get-go there would be no purpose for forums.... everyone would be better off just ordering books off amazon
