Banks has some good stuff. Someone that works there has got to know something. But I'll be damed if I can figure out who it is.

When I pressed the customer service person they finally told me that nothing would ship until the end of the month at the earliest and that even that wasn't quaranteed. I canceled my order and placed an order for the spartan this morning.

They were very rude and acted like I was an idiot just because I wanted a firm ship date!

I was also told that they were only quoting a 10% mileage increase, which on a truck that gets 10mpg is only a 1mpg increase. Not enough for the money.

No banks products for me.
Do you remember who you spoke with? I'd like to have a word with them

I am very frustrated with waiting for the actual release of the new Six Gun. They are supposedly released for sale, but "Banks Dealers" don't have any and anybody I know that has called to order them have not received them. I have also not seen any posts about any customers that have one. For a product that was released for general sale on 3-2-09 I can not believe we have not seen any feedback.

I wish Banks Power could be honest with there customers! I you have them and are really selling them, great, but if you only have a few or are not really selling them don't say anything at all.

Honesty is the best policy for me.
Please "Banks Power", for a company that claims to not blow smoke, don't blow smoke up our #@$#@.
The next shipping date for these tuners is the week of March 30th. I've been listening in on the phone converstaions that our sales team is having with our customers and every one of them is relaying that week as the next shipping date. If sombody is hearing different I need to know your salesman is. PM it to me.

What this means is if you just so happen to be going for inspection in 2010 and approval is still pending (this IS possible especially given the current situation of the state), you will fail the visual inspection portion of the emissions.
You are correct. There have been no E.O. numbers granted because the state hasn't issued any yet to any manufacture. Also, ANY manufacture claiming they have already recived their E.O. number is lying to you. They may be pending but none have been approved yet. We have submitted all of our tuning, air intake, and exhaust systems (where they apply) to the state CARB for approval. They will all be granted the E.O. numbers (all of our products come in well under the states smog requirments) when the state starts passing them out. Smog testing isn't slated to start until early next year.

Did you include a phone number where you can be reached? If not PM it to me along with your contact info and I'll check to see if it's in the system at all.

While my faith in Banks Power is slowly running out, I do believe they will follow through with the CARB approval.

Are any of the other performance manufactures attempting to have there products certified by CARB?
We're just waiting on the state at this point, see above.

If you need more information sent to you simply fill out the contact form on our website. Just remember the information, including your phone number, has to be accurate in order to get is assigned to somebody. As an example I just saw a contact page come in with the request to "contact me through e-mail only" with the following information:
Fred Flintstone
1313 mocking bird ln
bed rock, NJ
555-555-5555
Obvioulsy nobody here is really going to bother contacting this person in any way even if the e-mail was good. If you want to PM me with your contact info as well, feel free to do so and I'll make sure somebody contacts you the same day.

I've done that. I get brochures sent to me. I don't want a brochure, the answer isn't in them. I have also gotten a couple of phone calls from some sales person that didn't know the answer. He told to e-mail the tech dept. I did that and got no reply. I've sent two PM's to you and have not got a reply.

Why is PMing my question to you not good enough to get an answer?

I can answer the PM's if i have the information available to me but a lot of times our tech support department is the best bet as they specialiaze in specific tech questions. As an example I can tell you the exact way to hook up your tuner, tell you how to fix most issues with it and so forth. There are certain questions I can't answer especially when the parts are for an application other then what it's intended for. They are, however, a very busy department so your best bet is to call them directly. Make sure you tell them you were reffered from this web site. Now, back on topic.....

So telling you to contact our tech support department by phone is telling you we have no customer service?

I have a problem with a product that's "released," but has no info, other than what's being offered here. Why can't Banks update their website? I'll be holding back until I see something tangible.

Not exactly but close. It's not telling me you have no customer service, it's demonstrating it. In fact the sales person that I was talking to on the phone told me I could not talk to them and would need to send an email to them. They won't answer emails so I sent a PM to you. I expected they would talk to you.

I've never owned a Banks product - nor do I have a 'dog in this hunt'. Reading all these posts leads me to think that Banks needs to get their act together. It's not like this is the 1st new product they've brought to market! Is this their norm?

I'll PM you with my direct dial number. I don't get in here 24/7 so that might be faster then a PM.

Exactly....Youd think this was some new process for them, seems people are getting the same reaction you would get by going into a McDonalds and ordering SpaghettiOs.

Ive tried calling banks to ask specific questions about a package deal for my truck and all I got was "We'll get back to you." Never happened of course, and when I called them back, it started all over again.

Question for Bankspower: does the 6.4 Six Gun control the transmission the same way the 6.0 Six Gun does?

I got a call from Banks this morning. Wanted to know if I was interested in installing the 6 switch on my truck to give them real world feed back, not a beta test. They are looking for local trucks and are giving a little discount.

Sounds like the unit is not out yet and Banks is taking pre-orders (but telling people the Six Gun for the 6.4's are out for sale). Banks is usually pretty quick to advertise on their website and magazines when stuff gets released (very proud). Sounds like that's why everyone is getting the run-a-round and no advertised info on the Six Gun.
