All I can do now is break out the JACK DANIELS AND WAIT FOR THE BAD NEWS.
Well it's time for an update . THERE IS GOOD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS . Since I had to wait a couple of weeks for the Diesel Shop to get around to me . That Friday I went by there and picked up the truck on a Rollback and took it to the house . Removed the BANKS SYSTEM ( NO PROBLEMS THERE ) , and took it back that next monday . When they got to it they pressure tested the cooling system and the system failed . They replaced the Venturi Tee and the Radiator and the degassing bottle . They did a lot of computer diagnostic work and wound up replacing a nozzle on the injector pump and #4 injector , and did 2 reflashes of my computer . Everything was covered under either factory recall or warranty . Got my truck back day before yesterday . They ( INTERNATIONAL HAVERSTER FACTORY GUY ) determined that the knock in the engine was not a rod knocking but , the engine had HYDRO-LOCKED . Well I'VE GOT THE BEAST BACK AND ALL IS WELL . W5DVC

Appreciate all the support guys . There is just one thing though , if I had installed the Banks exhaust system or intake , I probably would have been screwed warranty wise , because they would have known . I am not beating up on BANKS ENGINEERING , ABSOLUTELY EVERY PRODUCT OF THEIRS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED HAS PERFORMED AS ADVERTISED . I think there should be some sort of agreement between vendors and manufacturers that doesn't leave performance minded customers sitting in the middle . Maybe I am being overly optomistic , but that is what I think . JUST ONE MORE THING , IN LIGHT OF THE WAY THIS HAS TURNED OUT , I'M SWITCHING FROM OLD No.7 ( REGULAR JACK DANIELS ) TO JACK DANIELS SINGLE BARREL , HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY. W5DVC
I spoke to Alex at Banks today regarding relearning the tranny shift, and he said that relearning is more of a concern shifting up, ( as you get more power) than shifting down. The tranny will perform better/learn faster if you go through the learning process every time, but the truck will adjust by itself after a little while if you dont. The biggest learning curve is when you jump up several levels in power. If you dont go thru the process the tranny will be kind of "hokey" untill it adjusts to the new power.
Anyone bought a refurbished PDA? Seems like a way to save a few bucks when getting the 6 gun system.
I have a slightly used (2 weeks old) Banks PDA that I really don't intend to use.
Anyone want to make me an offer for it?
Other than cash all I would need in return is the Knob/switch so I can switch levels.
If you were thinking of getting the PDA for $700 I'll save you a few hundy.
The PDA is very cool but I'm just not that into all the monitoring and extra functionality.
When removing and installing, are you supposed to reset the PCM before reconnecting the negative battery cables? And if so, what's the correct procedure for resetting it, or does it automatically reset when you reconnect the negative terminals?

It will reset when the battery cables are removed. Just remember to do the trans re-learn again as the six gun will also reset
Greeting from the great white north. Had the 6 guns + PDA installed last week. as usual did not read the owners manual so I was not aware of this transmission training thing....I've put about 150 miles on the tuner so far with no problem. Do I need to reset anything before training the tranny ???
Will the codes come up on their own or do I have to go in the PDA code section ?
All I know is that the trucks has no issues, the power is awesome and I'm getting an extra (as in savings) 3 litre per 100 Km (sorry we have the #$%^ metric system here)
I'll stop reading the posts now because some of the comments scares me...I'll go back to driving the trucking without problems...knock on wood.

Your most likley OK after having it on the truck that long, but it can never hurt to do it just to be safe. Most likley your installer did the learning prosses for you (that what we do here as well). CELs can be checked in the PDA menu but if there are any problems with the tuner itself it will set off an alarm and tell you what the problem is.
I keep track of regens. Im actually a little obsessed with it. Normally every 220/250 miles. Or 8 hours. I Tow 14000 lbs 5th wheel and killed first DPF with superchips installed. Warranty covered. Waiting for six gun to come. Have banks cool cuff exhaust installed and Ram Air.
