so the bottom line is you get what you pay for. If you are going to run an off-road configuration then you must have a tuner. Otherwise the PCM will throw it into limp mode and it will mess with the whole system.

I have a friend with bank's iQ and work great, very clean tune, no trouble but I like more the power and with a clean tune you don't have the highest horse power..

If Ford determines that a tuner was used on the vehicle then they will deny your warranty. Doesn't matter if if Banks or any other tuner. That's why we recommend that everything is returned to stock. That includes stock file, exhaust if you installed one and the intake. Doesn't take long to install the exhaust. It's just the sensors and pipe and about 2 hour worth of work and your done.
that is the bottom line. Take it back to stock so that they don't just flat deny your warranty without knowing what is really wrong.
I have taken mine in under warranty without removing the banks and had no issues, but it was for the blend door. I did tell my guy that is was on there and not to reflash me. They are pretty level headed where I am.

It has been my recent experience that many techs don't know what they are doing and leaving a tuner on, would leave an idiot an easy catchall to deny a warranty. Don't give them any excuses and make them work for your money. Besides, leaving a vehicle stock will allow them to easier diagnose the problem.
I was one of those that first had the 6.4L’s Six-Gun with the shutdowns included in the package, but after the software revision it has been performing perfectly. I like how easy is to change the power levels, instantly, just when I want. Most of the time it is set at level 5, when towing at 4, and seldom at level 6. The Six-Gun give noticeable clean power, it regenerates a little less or equally frequent as when in stock. If the truck will be serviced, depending on the kind of service, I remove the Six-Gun’s wiring in about 10 minutes and all remains as nothing happened there.
A note: This is my 1st diesel truck, personally don’t like the smoke subject (although my son thinks very different from me). Usually that is appreciated by those that know about diesel performance and can imagine what is under the hood of these trucks. For the non knowing persons (as my wife and daughter) that is a truck that needs to be fixed. It is not a critic; I really enjoy seeing the capabilities of diesels (as the Spartaned ones ) and how many people make ingenious things to produce more power. It is just a matter of preference (and by the way the warranty).

Keep the warranties is good, if you want much horsepower and don't want work to put it back to stock, you have make some friends in dealer. I don't have this trouble because I have a car with the dealer sponsor Ford.
I take my truck to the warranties with the tune and also with nitrous system.

Spartan and SCT are the two best on the 6.4TT right now for Power, MPG and tune quality.
huh........ever heard of HS ????????? have you tried all 3 to make your opinion valid ??????
Good point.........remember a few months ago when all the Banks issues were floating around?? I run Edge and it is awesome....by the way do you know of a good tuner friendly dealership here in AZ????

Edge doesn't come close SCT or Spartan.
Not that EDGE is bad(at one time I liked Edge until I used other company's products)...there's definetely better tuning available with Spartan, SCT or as someone previously outlined...H&S.
I did a XRT(H&S) install over the summer and was highly impressed with their tune quality!
One of the trucks with the SCT I installed has the +85 Performance tune. It pulls a 40' Fifth Wheel camper frequently to travel around the country and is getting outstanding mileage with--> very conservative EGT's.....definetely a winner for a person that tows heavy !!
