From what I've read over the past few months, you already have it.

I've got the AFE Pro-Guard 7 air intake.... and I'm very happy with it. The fit and finish is great.... its filtering capability is second to none (proved with oil sampling).... and I'm averaging about a mile more per gallon. No check engine lights (knock on wood).

S&B makes the best IMO. AFE makes a nice kit as well.

Installed a AFE with a Pro Guard 7 a few months ago. Check engine light came on after a regen cycle. Got the Torque Booster tube (suppose to correct the check engine code). Same deal, after a regen cycle light comes on. Still pondering the thought of going back to stock. With an added Edge Evolution I'm able to clear the code moments after it comes on.

Save your money, don't get a AFE without something to check and clear the codes.

DSTRBD: Have there been no codes with the S&B. Doesn't that come with the booster tube?

737tdi

Can you beat the ebay price of $269 delivered?

I have only read 1 case of a CEL with the S&B intake. And trust me, I have researched. It will be the intake that I go with. And yes, it comes with the "booster" tube.

I have not had any nor heard of any code issues with the S&B. They have been flawless for us.

Yes, the "booster tube" is included. You can see a pic of it by following the link below.

Performance Truck Products LLC - Diesel and Gas Performance Parts and Accessories

That price is set by S&B and we are not allowed to sell under it. We have that same price delivered though right on our site.

Banks Twin-Turbo | Banks Power: Twin-Turbo Products I seen on Xtreme Diesel they are now a supplier of Banks, and they are offering exhausts. Now on the Banks page, no thing yet available, so Xtreme must have the pre-release part numbers.

I would go with the S&B or this new one from Volant...

pmtdiesel.com - PMT Diesel 19864 Volant Cool Air Intake

Looks like a pretty slick idea! pulls air from both the side vent and up front!

I personally like the volant system and have installed a couple so far. Awesome system.

If anyone interested shoot me a PM or call for pricing.
