Question Best Monitor?

Somewhat similar to another thread, what's the best monitor? Edge? Banks? Something else? I'm not interested in a tuner, just more data...mostly temps. Any suggestions? Truck is 08 F250 SC LB used mostly to tow a 9K fiver. Thanks...

Almost edzachary what I have Zedd! 'Cept mine is a Crew Cab. I'll be waiting to see some responses. From what I've seen so far, looks like the Edge has the edge!

I have the Banks iQ on mine. Everything is big and in your face lots of information and configurable alerts. Also, they are coming out with a standalone version which will work with or without a tuner and supposedly will work with other tuners.

Not sure when the release date is for the standalone version, may have to call for more info.

I'm interested in something like this for my 7.3. Is there a cheaper option if all you need is monitoring capabilities, no tuning?

Yeah, I remember that as well. I talk to Jeff regularly and keep picking his brain regarding upcoming releases and status. Engineering seems to be behind on the standalone version. I know it's still in the works, but don't know when it's gonna be ready.

I installed the Edge Insight CTS 83830 yesterday. I love the look and the parameters it shows. Very seriously considering one for the X. Not a salesman, just a happy owner.

You'll love the Edge Insight CTS! After a trip to the mountains of NC a couple of weeks ago, I am convinced that this is one of the smartest purchases I have ever made! All touch-screen settings, large easy-to-see gauges (I chose the three large analog gauges with two small gauges in the lower corners), choice of background & gauge colors, You can't go wrong with this one!

By the way, Performance Truck Products gave me a better price than I found anywhere else.

Hi Shaun,

I PM'd Jeff several times, called and left messages for him or Tech Support and finally left a voicemail for Moises. Moises finally replied and acted like he had no information about any "Stand Alone Version" - his voice mail to me was actually kind of depressing. I had talked to him on several occasions while I still had my SixGun and he seemed like a really nice guy - his attitude sure changes when you're running an SCT! We'll see - I really like the looks of the unit. I just got an email from SCT that a major firmware update will be coming my way in about a week. It's supposed to make the TSX much more like the other monitors on the market! Again, we'll see! Oops... the Patriots game is starting - bye for now!
