DashDaq digital gauge

Has anybody installed a DashDaq digital gauge?

DashDAQ Series II - customizable OBD2 gauges, data logging, dianostics, and GPS Navigation

It sounds great a plug it in code port and pick your gages... It would fit nicely above the vent on the left side. The biggest complain is its price, hence the question here...

Opinions on voiding the engine guarantee?

A DashDaq by itself won't void a warranty. If you get one that has custom tunes on it, then if Ford can prove the tunes caused damage they can void the warranty just like any other tuner/programmer out there.

I've got a Dashdaq with a 250hp DPF delete tune from Spartan coming. Hopefully, I'll see it in a week or two.

Is that 250 more HP or is that down tuned to 250 HP. Sill question of my i know but there have been those that have said they would welcome a lower tune with better MPG. The DPF you refer to is obviously for drag racing, and when you go to Mexico where ULSD is rare.

No, it's 250 on top of the 365. Should be around 525 on the road.
I would love to get this tune from these guys at Spartan diesel, but they have their heads up their coo-loo..
I may be changing to an SCT tuner. They will also have a 500+ to the ground tune available very soon.

The SCT tunes we have now are putting 156 over stock so that is about 521 hp. Custom tunes are due June 1st, and we should be able to to tune 200+ rwhp over stock.

I have heard that SCT will be releasing the custom software "soon" for the last 10 months. I am sure that is what they have told you, and I hope they do it, but I would not hold my breath.

Not holding my breath, but at least for now they have the DPF delete working and shipping.

Thanks for the comments, Guys!

Raul, How hard is it to pick gage options? The flyer is a bit vague. Is the manual on line?

Thanks!

Assuming torque X RPM's

over 5252 still holds as the power calcualtion thats a ton of torque and torque can ONLY be achieved bt some serious cylinder and turbo pressures.

BTW: aside from the obvious cost what do you think of my DUAL DPF idea?

picking gauges is very easy.... basically just touch the gauge you want ot change and pick the parameter you want it to read... you can customize it to display any temps or numbers you want... like my engine oil temp i have it reading only from 150-280 that way its easier to read

I must have missed it Richard.
But assuming you were thinking flow may increase with dual DPFs, I doubt it.. Twice the collection area of the DPFs may only allow just that. Backpressure will stay the same. Regen cycles may be further apart, but the cost of regening 2 DPFs won't save fuel.

Dfuser, just what are the boost levels, and how close are the cylinder pressures to what Navistar would call acceptable?

Thanks.
