Edge chip coming out soon - Diesel Forum

Here is an email i recently got from a person at edge products regarding the future release of the edge-attitude combenation-

QUESTION*
Hi I am just wanduring when a chip will be out for the 2008 ford superduty diesel. Most other companies already have them out.Will you have a chip that makes itself invisible inside the engines computer? THANKS

We are currently working on a Juice/Attitude kit for your application. We will hopefully have something available by late August or early September. All of our Juice and Attitude kits are external from the computer. So they do not leave a trace because with this particular product, it doesn’t download into the trucks computer. We will post on our website when this product is released. Just let us know if you have any other questions.

When I went to the dealer, they hooked up the computer in the service area and told me how fast I was driving, rpm range, and a couple other little things. Betting that there is also an air/fuel ratio in there somewhere too. So I would bet that even if it were "invisible" some of the changes in parameters might give it away.

nothing cannot be found. The dealer has tools that can tell just about everything.

Can you specify what tools those are or what they might find? I'd like to see some proof.

i dont have proof. i havent owned a ford long enough to know their tools. with a dodge, STAR Scan will find past rail pressure numbers, boost pressure numbers, etc. Programmers for the most part will tell the last number of key resets.

I dont need to provide proof to tell you that your dealer can find what they feel like. And if for some reason they cant find it, Navistar Can.
