Has anyone found a paint number for the dash panels in the 2008 F250 SD.
I would like to paint my Edge dash pod to match.

Thanks,

Bucktail

I'm a newbie to the forum and to running a diesel, so forgive me. I talked to my local dealership today about the Edge Insight and was told that the warranty would not be voided unless the Edge Insight contributed to or caused something to fail. Has anyone been able to get a definitive answer from Ford? All I can get is double talk to get around a yes or no. I want to monitor my truck while towing my RV, but don't want a voided warranty.
Thanks,

The Edge Insight does not change the fueling. It just reads off the OBD for monitoring parameters. So, no it should/will not void the warranty.

You may have to explain to the dealer what it does.

It was the latest update that canceled out those parameters. Edge reprogrammed to the previous firmware and all was well again

So the manual is a bit ambiguous.

Does the Edge Insight monitor and report transmission and torque converter slip?

Having this data real time could be worth the price of admission.

Edge Insight

Yes, it will monitor trans temp and torque converter slip.

I still can't it to read the correct MPG reading.

I had to contact Edge to get them to put the old settings back into the Insight using Fusion.

Cool About to get edgy

Thanx guys for all the good replies on the edge insight, but i am really concerned about warranty voidance with the way ford is all skeptical of everyone with any type of tuner or monitoring device. Just want to know for sure because the insight sounds like the perfect piece of equipment for all of us guys that want to upgrade during warranty period, and i really want one.

I have had my truck in for service with the edge insight in view and connected. They had no problem with it, disconnecting it to update flash, and reconnecting afterwards.

I just got my insight and installed it.

What parameters do most people prefer to watch? There is so much you can look at that I am at a complete loss as to which ones are the most important.

One word of caution, do not allow fusion to update the unit as it will no longer read transmission temps.

Mine out of the box isn't reading transmission temps....any idea why? Also, I thought I read it was supposed to read MPG and fuel levels but I don't see that setting.

I just talked with Edge and if yours is a late build like mine (2.19.2009) it probably has the software upgrade that messed with the sensor readings... call Edge Tech Support.. they are sending me a new one (for another unrelated problem) but we talked about the software version and he is going to set the new one he sends me so it will again read the sensors..

If you get a chance can you tell me what firmware and calibration you have? I have spent 4 hours with Edge support today and they can't get it working. If you want to PM me your last night they can look it up that way as well. Thanks, Jason
