Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

I am looking to add some gauges to my stock 08 diesel. I recently looked at the Edge Insight gauge which offers a "Regen" status readout as well as EGT's, etc. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this product? Any input is greatly appreciated, thank you!!!

Re: Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

Thanks for bringing this product to my attention.... I'm probably going to purchase it for my truck..... depending on what their mounting pod looks like and where it mounts. Edge makes a really clean product. I had the BD X-monitor on my last truck.... but it used a dot matrix type screen and after a couple of years.... several of the dots had died out... making the numbers look funny. A product that plugs right into the OBDII port would be great too... no tapping wires, or having to worry about routing wires.

Re: Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

That is a nice product. I wonder if you can use the Ford probes for the EGT's?

I sent that same question to Edge Products last night. According to the online manual it sounds like it might use Fords probes, but I will wait for their responce. This is from the online manual.

Ford Specific Parameters
Air
• EGT = Exhaust Gas Temperature
• EGT B1S1 = Exhaust Gas Temperature Bank 1 Sensor 1
• EGT B1S1 = Exhaust Gas Temperature Bank 1 Sensor 2
• EGT B1S2 = Exhaust Gas Temperature Bank 1 Sensor 3
• EGR S1 = Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor 1

Re: Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

Thanks for the replies. I have found this product for approx. $280 and the optional EGT probe for $80. Seems like a pretty good deal for what is offered in this package. Any more thoughts or experiences are appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!

Re: Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

Also, what have you guys seen as far as mounting options? I would like something that sits above the dash but below the driver's grab handle(in order to keep from removing it). Look forward to your responses!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

It uses the same mount as the Juice monitor. The probe that comes with it is designed to fit on it perfectly.

The insight plugs into your OBDII connector and monitors jsut about everything your PCM does.

They are very easy to install and work great.

Re: Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

I do not have an installed picture, but if you have the juice/attitude installed it looks the same.

Here is a picture of it:

Re: Edge Insight Gauge........any thoughts????????????

Don't you have to tap a hole for the probe?
