6.4L Upgrades and Aftermarket - EngineUpgrading and adding aftermarket equipment to your 2008 Super Duty truck with 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engine. Please confine discussion of topics in this forum to those items that are specific to the 6.4L Power Stroke engine.
The factory tow/haul setting works almost exactly the same way it does on the chevy. Blade position is brought down to a set point but it generates very little back pressure on the engine. In fact our testing on the stock setup was a mirrior image of the chevy run posted above.
On Edit: There's also a big warning on the Banks Speed Brake brake to NOT use it on the high strength setting with little or no load. It will nearly lock the tires up.
So then it is a turbo assisted braking deal and not variable valve timing then? Hmm, I learned something new today...it was a good day!

We are putting the finishing touches on one now, and it's going to be realesed at almost the same time as the 6.4L The function on both will be exactly the same. No welding, no wire splicing, no cutting. Just plug and play.
I am interested just dont know how well it will work with aftermarket ecm tuning.
The brake is independant of the ECM so it will work with any programmer out there. It may NOT work if you have something plugged into the OBDII port like and edge insight however.

I too am interested in this. I pull loads up to 10K
Anybody local in the SoCal area care to try one out?
