Exhaust sound quality??

So how does the exhaust sound on the 6.4 with the Spartan tuner and that thing missing? Headed in that direction and wondering if I need to spend more $$ on exhaust componants..

They sound great. They have a nice low rumble without being obnoxious.

I have a 5" exhaust and a 6" tip. It screams like a banshee and then sounds like a wicked big block above 2000 rpm. I love it and recommend it. These motors are loud when uncorked.

RCD also has a loped tune... It's cool, like a blown gasser motor

This is a really cool sounding motor. I liked the 6.0 but love this thing when opened up. Sounds like it is moving a ton of air.

If by thing you mean muffler then they sound mean. If by thing you mean the other "thing" then you wont notice too much of a sound difference.

That's what I'm looking for! Kind of on a budget and going to go Spartan but wondering what all is necessary to add with it.

in my opinion the 4" and 5" straight exhausts need a muffler, there is a lot of "wooshing" sound and light throttle but here is my truck with spartan, and exhaust

Its all a matter of opinion. I really like the sound of my straight piped 4" Flo-Pro kit. The 5" has a lower rumble and is a bit louder, but I didnt want it much louder in the cab. Outside it sounds very aggressive.
