Finally an after-market radiator!

Discovered my forth radiator failure yesterday so started my usual internet search for an after market radiator to replace the crappy Ford unit. I really didn't expect to find anything given my past experience but was pleasantly surprised. Found a Vista-Pro direct replacement, with a life time warranty for $700 shipped. I don't know much about them but they can't be any worse than the POS Ford built radiator, and you can warranty it if it develops problems. I found it at Radiatorbarn.com, which is connected with Lake Shore Radiator. I discovered, while talking with the salesman, that Lake Shore was about five minutes from my office, so I now have a little project to tackle Saturday. Hopefully this will be my last radiator install in this truck.

With the exception with changing coolant is their anything else I should do while I have this thing pulled apart?

Good find, wasn't aware they made one yet for these trucks. Good to know for those in the same boat.

Don't you need a special widget to suck all the air out of the system when you refill with coolant?

Also, looking at the Vista-Pro website, it still has the plastic side tanks, isn't that the problem with the OEM radiator?

Last time I refilled without it, just poured real slow and worked out fine with no air pockets.

Probably, but the Vista has a life time warranty and I don't have to give any more money to Ford.

Found a little info from the Automotive Aftermarket Expo site, AAPEX.
Two months so far so good, not much of a test period yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Name: 2010-08 Ford Super Duty 6.4L Diesel Radiator Description: Vista-Pro Automotive introduces the 2010-08 Ford Super Duty 6.4L Diesel Radiator. Through our VA/VE (Value Added/Value Engineered) analysis we developed a better design to withstand the extreme environments in which this vehicle operates. Details: The 2010-08 Ford Super Duty 6.4L Diesel radiator, Part # 438400, is designed with Vista Pro's BTOE (Better Than OE) design enhancements to improve the life of the unit as it experiences higher pressure/temperature, and vibration in extreme operating conditions. Our core design enhances cooling by providing 20% more fins than the original unit. Our patented Big Foot header features an optimized crimp design that securely fixes the tank foot within the header groove providing a secure seal. Vista-Pro's Stress Flex side rail design provides a high strength connection while the flex portion allows for thermal expansion and contraction of the core, minimizing tube-to-header stress. We have added internal tank strengthening to provide additional support and limit tank breathing. Drain design features a double O-ring seal to eliminate drain leaks. The Vista-Pro radiator will help keep the Diesel Super Duty Pickups on the road towing & hauling in the rugged conditions they were designed for.

What else do you need? Well for starters. HEAD STUDS!!!!

Then you can add: EGR Delete, Trans Filter upgrade, Air Dog 165, Upgraded Bellows, Intercooler pipe, 4" Down pipe, and Tial Wastegate.
