Ouch,
I ordered today, Hope I have a better experience than yours.
I have just had it with the truck in regen more miles than out while pulling.
So long warranty, sorry OPEC.
I will post my install results after my bumbletard self tries to load tunes off an email.
We have a complete exhaust system that makes it a lot easier to install. Its a Downpipe back 4" system made of Stainless vs some of theose Aluminized taht are powder coated.
Well i am almost to the point of lemon lawing my truck, but if i keep it i am curious about this spartan tuner that is out. Does this tuner really improve the mileage that well? I've heard there is another tuner out there called the X-CAL does that sound familiar to anyone. Any websites regarding these tuners would be appreciated. Also could anyone tell me what gears would be correct for 37 inch tires, I have the standard 3.73 gears now and they need to be changed. I was told 4.56 or would 4.30 be better?
I've had mine on for 7000mi so far. I've run the 150hp and 210hp settings both empty and pulling. I've found that it is a waste of time getting less then 150hp setting when ordering. Empty the truck gets better fuel economy on the 210 setting. Over the weekend I pulled my 5th wheel trailer( 30' about 12000 lbs loaded and my 17' boat about 4000 lbs loaded) through some big and steep hills. I used the 210 setting and traveled average 70 mi the entire time. This truck pulled on cruise and tow/haul setting the entire time. I never had the truck kick out of cruise or any issues arise because of temps. I had the tuner defuel once when I hit about 1475 on EGT's...the truck kept pulling the hill in cruise without any problem. Otherwise the temps would be average 1000-1250F, I did find on many hills the temps would hit in the 1400's and then back down as I crested the hill without defueling. I hand calculated my mileage to be 13mpg (imp) and this was over 500mi of driving. This is a great product and these trucks can handle the power.

I read the entire post but was there a declaration on what setting to go with for towing purposes.
I, too have gone through some tuners on my 7.3 until I landed on F5 from DPTuner. I usually use the Go FAST setting all the time.
So my question to you guys is what setting should I order the Phalanx for my 6.4L F450 for towing purposes. I tow a 5vr (toyhauler) that weighs about 18k fully loaded. And just to confirm, if I am allowed 3 tunes, 210, 250 & the tow tune would be the choice.
Help is appreciated!

glamisPSD,
you won't get the 250 tune unless you pay extra. Alot of guys are towing heavy with the 210 tune and doing fine. The 210 has built in safeties and the 250 doesn't. I just put the 210 on my 450 with 4.88's and what a difference!!
I have not towed with it yet but empty MPG went from 11.9 to 15.8 on the same road. That is quite a bit of improvement...almost 30% in fuel not to mention how much better the truck performs.
Mike
Wow, that is great. I am only getting 10s with 4.30s. right now. So I guess you would say worth it? What setting would you recommend? Is stock setting considered one of the 3? Do you think that the 250HP will be worth the extra $?
Thanks again for the info!
