HELP... Gas Mileage needs to improve!!!

So here's the story... I just put 22'' tires and 35'' tires and a 3.5'' lift on my '08 F250. Right after putting these on I travelled a little over 3K miles in one week. I didnt average out my miles on the first half of the trip, but on my second half 1230+ miles I averaged 11.4 miles per gallon at about 66.7 miles per hour + or - 5mph I would say depending on traffic conditions.
Now this is without towing. I tow a toyhauler with a GVWR of just over 11K lbs., and I know my mileage will just drop when I do tow.
What are some recomendations for improving my mileage.
Also as a side note. I have had my truck for only 4 months and have already put over 25K miles on it. I have been bringing it in on a regular basis for oil chages and maintnance to the dealership, but is there anything special I should be doing?
Would changing my gear ratio to a 4:10 or 4:30 help, or adding a detroit locker help any?

Welcome to the poor millage club . Call Brian at Black Widow. He told me he has a good program for the 6.4's that is GOOD for millage. Im about to put one on my dads truck. Just got to convince him (old school).

The ONLY thing that will help is to remove the lift & go to no larger than 285 tires. Putting the lift & tire on immediately lower your fuel economy by 3+ m/g. I'm sorry it's not what you want to hear, but its physics at work & that's that. You decreased the aerodynamics and added drag, both killers of economy.

The addition of power enhancers, engine air flow, gears will help only slightly, and cost a fair amount to gain back what you lost with the un-aerodynamic mods. If you do decide to try these, be sure to look at your ROI when you go to purchase.

Lower it, put a tapered cap on it when not towing, air the (stock) tires to max recommended inflation, keep the brakes in good order, and the rpms at about 2k. If /when you tow, keep the trailers tires & brakes in good order. Keep it moving, don't idle.

If you don't do this, your fuel economy will (literally) suck big time.

Yea I was shocked when I got my new 6.4. Much worse mileage than my 6.0. I put the Workhorse Module on it. Got better power at low ranges and a 3mpg fuel improvement.
Not a chip so is ok with my warranty. Nice thing was I didn't have to spend money on exhaust/intake additions. I had one on my 6.0 and it worked great so I tried their 6.4 model and it does the same.

Yea, as said before... Physics dictates that with lift and big tires you lose alot of mpg trying to overcome drag, and you also waste about 17% of your hp and torque running 35's instead of stock tires due to increased lever arm between the axle and pavement. If fuel economy is that much of a concern, remove the lift and put 265's back on... or actually just sell the 6.4 and buy a toyota echo. Powerstokes get poor fuel economy and there is not much you can do to change it. Altering your driving style will help significantly, but other than that you are pretty much SOL. I just keep my 35's and lift, drive with pedal to the metal, and pay for it when I fill up. If you want to play, you have to pay. I dont understand the people who drive a $60k truck with diesel engine, lift, and huge tires then complain about mpg. Somehow you should have seen it coming.

The latest update adjusts rail pressure and boost for optimal mileage at part throttle.

The 6.4L will do as well, or better, than a truck of the same year with the same emissions equipment. The common rail is the equalizer in the new 6.4L trucks.
