2008 TTCC,
Not everyone on here with a tuner, chip, module, etc. is drag racing their truck at every stop light or trying to see how much they can get their truck to pull. Most of these devices, including the Edge Juice, have built-in safety features available and as long as you drive sensible and pay attention to the safety features, I don't think you will have any problem with the transmission. In fact, now that it doesn't downshift as much I would tend to think that maybe it might actually reduce the wear and tear on the tranny.
Keep in mind, the highest setting on the Edge Juice for the 6.4 is 70 HP and I would venture to say that the Torqshift can easily handle that increase. If I were running a HOT tuner that was adding upwards of 150-225 HP then yes, I would tend to bet that the tranny would not last too long without some modifications at best. But to make such a vague statement is something that I don't understand. Now, I'll be the first to admit that if I burn up my tranny in the coming future, I won't be on here whining and bashing Edge or Ford about the problem. I'm also not bashing you in any way just wanting to make a case for those of us that work out of our trucks daily and are trying to find ways to make them more efficient and useful. I have now put 45,000 miles on my 2008 since purchasing it just a year ago so you can imagine how much I appreciate any performance increase.

Edge tuners had issues on the 6.0L due to the lack of trans tuning. This was mostly attributed to the higher settings. The 6.4L J/A goes up to 70HP, not exactly a hot rod. We have not had nor heard of any trans issues related to the J/A yet.
The EDGE J/A is 100% untraceable, we had it at a deal hooked up in my truck and the diesel tech couldnt see it. It leaves nothing behind. PM me if interested mine is forsale.

I had my truck in last Friday for the latest regen flash, etc. I had a little discussion with the service advisor and he said sometimes programmers show a code or are detectable and sometimes they are not detectable. Then he shrugged and said "But if it is not attached when you bring it in, we can't prove it"
I think the bottom line is, it depends on your particular dealership service dept...
The Edge Juice IS NOT detectable by the dealer. Period!
And FWIW, the Juice Platinum for the 6.0's did provide some transmission tuning. You could adjust shift points and shift firmness. I ran it on my 6.0 Excursion for over 100k miles and NEVER had any tranny issues what so ever. I would expect the Juice for the 6.4's to be the same. I'm even considering selling my SCT Livewire and getting the Juice.

You guys are gonna plug up your DPFs quick. 2 guys around here running them for a year and their trucks are in regen way to often and is happening more and more all the time. I understand you don't want to remove the DPF, but you're going to end up replacing it early and the dealer is gonna start wondering why it got plugged so early, and you might end up with no warranty anyway. I got a Spartan tuner for one of the guys running the edge around here and there is no going back for him.
