Post Installing a ported air intake

Morning Y'all

I already have the no limits intake pipes (they are off about 1/2" what a challenge getting the boot to fit) and an AFE cold air intake.

I was looking at getting and possible installing a ported air intake.
Anyone know what level of effort this is, what additional parts I would need and any tips on installing?

I was thinking of tackling this during the Christmas break.

Thanks,

Ron

Engine reman for the original owner due to turbo seal blowing and trashing all the pistons on one bank. New to me.

Wow, I can't believe no one has done this themselves.
This seems a pretty straightforward manner to help our engines breate easier.

Do you have a link or pic of what you are thinking about installing?

I have not heard of a ported intake for the 6.4.

This is probably one of those things that makse perfect sense to me, but not others. I was referring to items such as the Z-Max manifold and other ported in take manifolds. Sorry for not making sense.

I looks like a pretty intensive install and I was wondering what parts were needed (gaskets, O rings, etc...) and where/how to do it.

I like working on my truck and thought it might be worth doing while work was down for teh Christmas holidays.

It might help to get better mpg's. I am working on a CCV mod right now...I feel that will help better.

As soon as I get it all put together I will post that.
