I like the tru flow system. Made really well and has shown to work very well so far under high HP stress.

We just started carrying them.

I guess Navistar or Ford fired the guy who came up with the intake for the 6.0 b/c that one does work very well. Suddenly, the intake for the 6.4 is a POS?
Anybody had oil analysis done after having one of these aftermarket intakes on for a while?
What about the stock filter? Is it any good and will it fit in any of the aftermarket intakes?

Any chance you've got special deals running for a S&B intake for a '08 F250 PSD?
S&B does have a strict pricing policy, but there is a little something extra I could throw in for forum members. PM me if you are interested.

I tried the AFE first and could'nt stand the noise. I insulated it and it was still noisy because it does'nt connect up to the stock cold air. I remove it and installed a S&B which is quiet and flows awsome.

The only thing that bothers me about the S&B is the hole in the air box over the battery. S&B claims the OEM cold air port doesn't allow for enough air flow and thats the reason for the extra opening. I talked with Banks, And they claim there is plenty of flow through the fender cold air port. If you notice, thats all they use is the OEM port. So I'm thinking of covering the hole over the battery on my S&B, there has to be hot air comming in there.

Do you know of any issues with CELs or anything of that nature? Have you talked to anyone that has calculated their mileage pre and post intake, is there a difference/improvement, if so what is it. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Does anybody have any experience with XDI intake system? They claim the sound it produces is very "performance". I think the systems looks really nice too. Any opinions?

The S&B is a nice system and now they all come with the intake piping that connects it to the turbo (Similar to the AFE Stage 2's). The AFE intake that have a large oening do allow for mosr turbo whistle to be heard. some folks like it and others don't. All of the S&B intakes have more of an enclosure and don't have the same sound emminating from them as the AFE open types. Worth noting, not all AFE are open types. Their Si (Sealed Intake) are more similar to the S&B brand and are thereby more quiet, but only the Cx is avaiable for the 6.4. Ohh, if anyone was wondering what all of AFEs abbreviations stand for they are:
EZ - Easy Install
Cx Classic (older style)
XP - Extreme Performance
Si - Sealed Intake (more quiet)

If you have any questions give us a call.

David,
Why are you still selling AFE intakes for 6.4L applications when you know customers have issues with this product triggering the Check Engine Light [CEL]. If vendors like you would suspend AFE sales until they offer a fix, then they [AFE] would get the message and go about providing a solution more quickly. AFE keeps moving their "new" tube date further and further back for us schmucks who can't get refunds from our online sellers. AFE tells me I'm one of just a "few" customers with this problem. However, I don't believe it! Someone like you has a better leverage point with big businesses that don't seem to be taking care of their respective customers. Suspend selling AFE products until they improve their lack luster customer support!

Sincerely,
Another Unsatisfied AFE Customer

There are reports now that the Volant is throwing codes as well. I think anything that increases the airflow over a certain threshold will throw codes. Some intakes are more restrictive than others being only slightly better than stock... so less or no codes thrown.

Or they are designed correctly like S&B. They are still the best out there and code free.

The design is more restrictive air flow. Nothing more, nothing less.
