Just bought Spartan: Need Suggestions - Diesel Forum

I just bought the Spartan Phalanx w/ Dashdaq for my 2008 Job 3 F-250 w/ the 6.4. "Removed due to rules violation" I pull a 12,800lb Fifth Wheel camper all over for work and I am trying to decide what power downloads would best suit my needs. I want better economy as well as added performance with or without towing my camper. Can some of you guys with the Spartan give me suggestions for which hourse power features will benifit me the most? Thanks!

I would not tow with anything more than 80 hp over stock. Just to be on the safe side.

I towed my empty trailer 25 foot enclosed with the 310 hp tune. I can get it hot pretty quick, if I stay on it.

There's people towing big loads with the 275 some have even tried the 310. But it's your truck, and if something breaks, it's ultimately your responsibility. I'd probably stay in the lower HP range with that kind of load though.

Spartan recomends the 150 tune for towing because it has safety shutdown features built into the tune.
