Just installed the SCT Livewire!

I installed the SCT Livewire last night, and I could not believe the power that has been added. I have only loaded the extreme flash, so far. It is so suprisingly fast.

The reason I bought it is to increase the MPG's, so thats the important thing to me. I will let everybody know what I get. Right now if I drive like I like to, which is about 75 on the highway, I get around 12.5 - 12.9. If I drive to conserve fuel (which I hate), I get about 14 mpg, and I have to take off easy, and I dont exceed 63 mph on the highway. I have 90 miles of highway travel everyday to work. I will let everybody know what happens. I hope for the best.

Do not run on the extreme for too long with your DPF installed.

If you drive it normal and only use the power when you need it, you won't have any more regens than stock. If you are heavy on the pedal, you'll have more frequent regens. It won't hurt anything, but your mileage will suffer.

Did you have to play with transmission setpoints? Or did you just download this setting right out of the box. I am still debating on getting one, but I didn't want to screw with defueling, tranny settings, etc.. I just want to download one thing and be done with it.

You are so quick to read the manual of your Livewire but yet you've ignored the warning from your truck's owners manual. Wow is all I can say.

Do you recommend putting it on "Performance" instead of "Extreme" ?

It all depends on driving habits. SCT does not reccomend you run on the exterme if you are planning on running hard all the time.

I would also reccomnd you put the trans in the firm shift mode.

hey i love your upgrade man, that is SCT Livewire is slick. just be careful with it as much as possible, maximizing its use might have bad effects on the car.

Go to SCT Automotive Performance Products and make sure you have the latest firmware and tune revision.

Let us know if we can help.

Make sure you have the latest firmware and Tune Revision for SCTflash.com.

Goto the Techsupport section and verify the revisions vs whats on your Live wire under device Information.

Some of the Latest firmware have updates which include Race shift updates.

Mileage update.

I put my tuner on "performance" the first week. I got pretty close to the exact mileage I was getting before. I stayed below 65 except maybe twice. I also got on it to pass someone on the highway twice. I'm kinda dissapointed. I love the power, but the only reason I bought it, was for the increased MPG.

I am trying it on the "extreme" setting this week. It's seems to be getting better so far on the "MPG meter". I'll let everyone know at the end of the week.
