Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the Regeneration Mode is the major factor causing the '08's not to get as good of fuel economy as previous years. I don't think that just adding a tuner without deleting all the DPF stuff will actually net you much better fuel economy. But remember you can only use the DPF delete tunes for "off-road use"!

You'll notice an increase in mileage with a program and the DPF in place. The small increase in timing normally increased mileage by a couple miles per gallon. I've had excellent feedback from customers when towing and daily driving.

I gained close to 1.5 mpg towing and 3 mpg empty running the SCT tow DPF delete tune full time. And this is compared to the regular SCT tow tune that I ran full time before. I didn't gain any mileage over stock while running the regular tow tune with the DPF still on the truck.

I'm interested in a tuner to increase performance while increasing my MPG also (with the DPF in place). While it sounds like performance increases are realized, a few SCT users are suggesting they are not seeing an increase in MPGs. It's great to advertise to sell, but disappointing if the results are not reflective of the advertising. While we cannot rule out driving habits, it would be nice to hear some positive 'actual' experiences with MPG too.

Does this mean that the SCT allows you to "off road" the vehicle and delete the DPF? And how did you delete the DPF? what do you do with the sensors? I've seen pictures of the DPF sawed off and a straight pipe put in, but I've always been curious how you keep the sensors happy, or is it just deleteing them in software? Thanks for the info guys.

You have to unbolt the DPF from the Cat. The Delete pipe has to have bungs in for the sensors, 30 min swap. The delete pipe has a 7" flange on it to pair up with the Cat, The pipe needs to go from 7" to 3 1/2" to fit the factory exhaust system.

I just used it and it works. Don't click on it. Highlight & copy it, paste it in your browser, then delete the space he's got in between the "T" and "HE" in THE. Are we not allowed to directly link to that or something? I don't see why not.
