Exclamation Labor cost to replace head bolts w/studs

I know the ARP studs are about $600.
How huch to get them installed BEFORE the gasket fails? I live in the Atlanta area. Any shops close by?
Thanks

Why are you doing this? Do you think yours will fail? Are you running high HP tunes?

If stock then why bother?

My truck is stock now but I am going to install a tuner but not for any extreme horsepower to avoid problems with the DPF and EGR. The tuner I have but have not installed is capable of 250 additional Hp. I have no intentions of running high at that power level but I might have to try it out a couple of times. The studs would be preventive maintenance if somewhat reasonable to replace before a gasket gives way. I fully understand what high horsepower can do to head gaskets had and know better than to tow at any level other than a mild or no tune level. It is much cheaper to install studs before you blow a headgasket and understand it can be done without removing the heads and with cab on.

You are the Powerstroke Help shop's neighbor. Have you inquired with them?

No I haven't checked his price this is my first inquiry. I wanted a price from someone who has had it done to compare prices. I just to make sure I am paying a fair price. Powerstrokehelp Bill has been around quite awhile and I am sure he knows his way around these engines. I have been by his shop several times and you could easily see he is a busy man. Bill's shop is only a couple miles from here.

I paid around $1600 for just the labor to do the studs and a ton of other crap while the cab was up. I would do as much as possible while the top is off to save on future issues.

What else do you need? Well for starters. HEAD STUDS!!!!

Then you can add: EGR Delete, Trans Filter upgrade, Air Dog 165, Upgraded Bellows, Intercooler pipe, 4" Down pipe, and Tial Wastegate.
