MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST

Has any one put Magna-Flow pipes on a 6.4? Wondered how they compare with the MRB or the Gibson setups. Is there a preferred filter system for that engine? I'm planning on going with the Magna-Flow duals and a AFE filter system along w/ an Edge Products tuner. If anyone has any better ideas I'm all ears!

Re: MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST

Yes, we have done a few here at the shop. I will take the Magnaflow kits over any others for the 08'. They have a intercooled tip that is much better looking than the others which use a spiral fluted design on the tail section. I also suggest the S&B intake over the AFE as AFE has had quite a few code issues with their current setup. You can see both on our site. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST

I got my Magnaflow 16950 at MagnaflowPlanet.com for $487.02 and Free Shipping. They had the best price I could find and still have a valid warranty. Heres the link http://magnaflowplanet.com/product.p...uctid=6378?tw2

Those were for 6.0's, this is the 6.4 site I think.

Re: MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST

Thanks everyone for the feedback. There's no such thing as too much information. I decided to go with the Magna Flow 16987 duals and the AFE Pro-Dry filter setup. I also ordered the Edge juice/attitude combo. I know the SCT set-up has more hp and torque but this way I won't be tempted to run the max. I've got a mustang if I want to go fast, trucks are made for pull'en. Thanks DSTRBD for your help, I may be in touch when I get all this together. I dynoed the truck stock. Can't wait to see how big a jump I get.

I would love to add the magnaflow exhaust to my 6.4, but my dealership advised me that any changes to the exhaust or intake even a filter back exhaust will void the warranty!! Any thoughts

MAGNUSON MOSS WARRANTY ACT

US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312
  • According to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty of your vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part was the cause or contributed to the failure of the vehicle (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)). It’s always best to work with a performance-oriented dealership, but no matter who you choose, you’re protected by the law.
  • Section 2301-2312 of the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act:

Find another dealer. Anything after the DPF should not void your warranty.

Heck, the dealer by me put an aftermarket exhaust on a truck before they even tried to sell it! In this case I say it all depends upon the dealer.
