Roush Cold Air Intake for 6.4 litre diesel

First time posting. I am currently testing a Roush cold air intake ststem on my 6.4 litre and was wondering if anyone else has one on their truck? My truck is a 2008 F-450 4x4 4.30 rear with 26000 miles on it. I haven't had it in long enough to see any big fuel economy results ( over a few tanks, hand calculated ) but one big difference is the response of the throttle. Way better off the line and in the mid range as well. There is a noise difference with it on there though especially during a regen. Anyone else with this kit?

Its the same thing as the AirAid. You're likely to find more folks with it.

First full tank of fuel I got 14.2 MPG (Canadian) hand calculated. This is an improvement from 12.5 to 13.2 but the biggest improvement is the response off the line and on acceleration in the mid power range. I am not going to jump to any conclusions until I have run a few tanks of fuel through with it in.

Second full tank hand calculated was 13.2 MPG. I am still impressed with the improved performance. If you are looking for a big increase in fuel economy alone, so far I would say it might not be worth it. I will continue to keep track and report.

How is the quality of the unit? Does it seem like a $334 part?

It looks just like the air raid unit. I am on the fence as to whether or not it is worth that kind of money. I am testing this one for a dealership so I don't even know what they want for it.

Third tank came in at 14.5 mpg. The dealership changed my MAF sensor to try to cut down on the excessive regens, every 150 to 170 Km ( 90 to 110 miles ) when not towing and every 74 Km ( 46 miles ) when towing. I haven't towed since it was installed but when not towing it has made a difference.

MAF sensor made no difference to the regen cycles. Tank # 4 came in @ 14.4 MPG

I have just bought the cold air intake and just after leaving the shop the check engine light came on. I call Roush and they say if you reset the code reading up to three time the error will correct itself. Well I have don it five times now and still the same code appears.
Any ideas?? Ford F350 6.4 2008

It would be useful to know what codes are causing the check-engine light to come on. You may have a different problem aggravated by the new intake.
I have a K&N on mine (F550 Job 1 50K miles) for about 10K so far. No problems, installed easy and is said to not cause codes - and it did not. I like the slightly increased turbo whine. With 30 to 35 lb of boost pressure one can actually hear the air suction noise...:-)

I've been waiting to hear some reports on this intake as I've been wanting to buy it, but dont want the headache's that some others have with the check engine light comming on. Wonder if some dealerships would not frown apon this intake simply because it's roush?
