safe boost levels

I have a customer making 52 lbs boost with the upgrades on his 6.4l he is wondering what kinda boost levels are safe before head gasket failure occurs Thanks Guys

i am guessing he is seeing that boost because his EGR is not shut off. I have heard of 56lbs with certain tuners. We have yet to see a boost related HG failure on a 6.4L

That's a lot of boost! What upgrades exactly has he done? I have only made up to 35lbs with no upgrades but a Bully Dog PMT. I would love more...but waiting to see what else the market puts out there.

matt from spartan stated that the high boost is due to the egr being left on, his tunes, that make more power are only seeing 38psi

ok my reply post got deleted i know why i will try this then my customer has a SCT Live Wire and some exhaust modifications that can not be discussed online the truck is used off highway mostly

That is wierd i have the livewire and the same Exhaust modifications and I am pushing 40-42 pounds max. Has anyone cameout with a true EGR blockoff for the 6.4?? Prob a dumb ? to ask
