Six gun PDA specific issues

Hi all,

I've had the 6 guns with PDA installed three week ago and so far so good. Great performance, no code issues.

My only issue is with the PDA itself and its location. My shop installed it on the top of the dash close to the pillar. I've read the big stickers that says not to leave the PDA on the dash as it may (will ?) get damaged by the sun.

I do find having to remove the PDA a PITA. I'm almost willing to bet that the bracket will bust at some point, especially next winter when the plastic is frozen stiff.

Two questions :

-Instead of removing it, could you simply cover it with a rag or a baseball cap ??

-Has anyone installed it somewhere else ?? Please show me if you did and let me know if you would still install it where you did if you had to do it all over again.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Here's my install. Mounted with self tapping screws. It is easy to remove the PDA when need because of the cradle being mounted tightly to the dash. I was going to use velcro but didn't think it would hold up in the 115 degree summer Nevada heat while on our lake trips.
