So what's the dealer gonna know??

Is there any solid information on whether the dealer will know for sure whether you put a light tune on your truck? And will you have the same chance of breaking something with the 6.4 as with the 6.0?

I had a dealer tell me that even with the tuners and aftermarket equip. ford still picked up the head repairs and anything else on the 6.0's still under warranty.

The DVD with the new 6.4's almost scares you away from programming...

ideas?

You need to decide if you want to go fast or have a warranty. The PCM can tell if a tuner was installed and set a code that you can't find AND won't be erased by any means that you have.

Most people won't believe me, but I worked there and I know how it works. I won't be answering further questions on how it works, so either take this info or ignore it.

Some tuners set the "P167F" which is a non-oem programming detected code, there are a few tuners that will not. This code is not visible to any of us with any ordinary code reader.
