you are only half right. this is about 6.4's. you can not remove the dpf without a tuner. without removing the dpf all you are doing is chaning out the tail pipe and in that process you accomplish nothing. zero zilch nada.
i agree a tuner with stock exhaust on these trucks is not a good idea.

as far as best intake, AFE or the S&B. you can't go wrong with either.

Its good to know what products work as a CAI did wonders on my supercharged 03 Cobra. This truck with the turbo sure is a different animal, I would have thought decent gains just with the CAI. I am not looking for max power just some improvements without getting crazy with hi power tunes as I wish to tow. Same thing goes with the exhaust, a midpipe and catback was worth the money.

i use the banks air ram with no problems.

on a diesel you rarely see power gains without adding fuel to the mix.
