Once I get a few bugs worked out on my recently purchased '91 E350 7.3 it will be my daily driver. I also have a '96 5.0 Explorer project truck, a '66 Porsche 911 with '83 3.0SC motor currently down for repairs and my live in fiancee drives my former daily driver; an '03 5.4 Expedition.

I like the van for the same reason I love the Porsche, they both do exactly what they were designed to do very, very well. Also neither has any unnecessary frills or options. As Ferry Porsche put it: "Form follows function" I even ditched the finicky CIS injection in favor or twin 3 bbl well tuned Zenith carbs.

The 5.0 Ex will be my business vehicle as well as weekend light trail riding and snowy days in winter. I've had it for about 8 years in Limited trim with a V6, doing a complete frame, engine, driveline and EB interior swap from a wrecked '99 donor. Running 31x10.5 Kumho MT's on 15x8's.

At the end of the day though I can quickly see the E350 being my favorite for everyday use, better mpg than the other two with plenty of room to haul my stuff and simplistic design.
