This came up in a truck converstation the other day. A former owner mentioned that Ford recommends "engine work" once you hit 100k costing approximately $5,000-6,000. I call BS... Has anyone else heard this??
Thank you! They didn't know specifics. Mine is at 109k and I couldn't find anything outside of what was stated in the owner's manual. Other than a replacement coolant cap and 2 new batteries (just the other day, lol), I haven't had to do anything out of the ordinary!
I did! It didn't make ANY sense (and sounded more like sour grapes, lol!) Just didn't want to be 'caught with my pants down' by not servicing my truck properly :-(
Well in the absence of anything further from the owners manual i have my plan and I am sticking to it.
