This came up in a truck converstation the other day. A former owner mentioned that Ford recommends "engine work" once you hit 100k costing approximately $5,000-6,000. I call BS... Has anyone else heard this??

Only items that I would do or know are:

Coolant flush

Fuel cooler flush

Trans filter and flush

Front and rear diffs and transfer case

Do your 4x4 hub maintance.

That I think is all I'd worry about and it is not like you have to do it all and half that you can do yourself.

So what are they indicating should be done other than what I would do?

Thank you! They didn't know specifics. Mine is at 109k and I couldn't find anything outside of what was stated in the owner's manual. Other than a replacement coolant cap and 2 new batteries (just the other day, lol), I haven't had to do anything out of the ordinary!
