08 F350 Trailer running lights not working..

Hello,

I have a 08 F350. I am having a problem with the trailer running lights not functioning. I have brake lihts and turn signals. When I put a probe to the running lamp post there was no power there. I am assuming that this is due to a blown fuse. But I can not find a fuse in the owners manual that is blown. Nor do I find on in either box (pass floor) (under hood) that says trailer running / tail lamps. Anyone have advise???

Thanks.

left side of engine compartment there is a fuse box under a vacume thing. I had the same problem as you and thats where I found the fuse box. Its not labeled in the owners manual very well so you just have to check each fuse . good luck

I saw it in the owners manual today while looking at the fuse box diagrams.

'08 f350 SD 6.4L diesel.
I have the same problem, running lights for the trailer not working. The fuse in the CJB under the hood is fine, tested the fuse it's fine, tested for power to the fuse, there is power. Just no power to the harness at the back of the truck.
Is there another place that I can check?

Dont trust your fuse diagram. Its not always completely accurate. Check every fuse in your fuse box and then see if your trailer lights work. I had the same issue a few months ago, and found a fuse that was blown that was in no way associated with the trailer lights, when I replaced the fuse everything worked.

I have a similar problem... except I have running lights and no right or left turn lights which operate under separate fuses... I've looked through all the fuses both inside and under the hood to no avail... What now? Irritating (the truck's lights work, of course) Also, all the other lights on the trailer work to include the interior which work off the charging line.

Trailer running lights

Check the relays for the trailer lights in that same fuse box under the hood. same thing happened to me the other day in my 2010. It blows the 30a fuse and the relay.
