2010 DRW trucks do not come with the receiver reducer sleeve?

Just picked up a 2010 F-450 last week and went to put a ball mount in it and found that it did not have the usual 2.5" to 2" sleeve in the receiver, went to the dealer and ending up talking to the service manager and we went looking for a truck on the lot to get the sleeve out of but all of the DRW trucks on the lot did not have one.

The service manager did some digging and phoned us back and told us that Ford had sent out a bulletin saying that the sleeve was not included with 2010 trucks. I am still going to pick up the sleeve for the receiver tomorrow at no cost but I am curious as to the veracity of what I was told?

I forgot to add - if you're going to use it a lot, I'd move up to a class V ball mount. That sleeve is a PITA.

Where can you find the higher class ball mounts? No one in my area carries them. I think they should just stick with a standard 2 inch receiver. Anyone that is pulling a load big enough for a 2 1/2 inch receiver is going to a goose neck trailer anyway, or they should.

I noticed Chevy had started doing this too on their duallies when I was on a lot a few months back.

Use Bing.com and search for "Class V ball mount" and you'll find several. Here are three by Draw-Tite, with 3", 5" and 7.5" drop:
Class V Tow Beast Hitch Ball Mount

The Reest Titan is the same thing as the Draw-Tite Tow Beast.
Class V Titan ball mounts

And there are some others out there if you surf the web.

But if you want to buy from a local source, then find any RV or truck accessories store that sells Reese or Drawtite or Hidden Hitch hitches and they can order you the ball mount of your choice.
