6 speed auto in 09

does anyone know if ford will offer a 6 speed auto for the 09 trucks?
I think ford is behing if they don't. with Chevy and Dodge both offering 6 speed auto's

I have talked to dealers and surched the net hard and no one seems to know if any thing will be diferent in the 09 supedutys. I think ford is keeping it quite because there are alot of 08's in dealer iventory that are not selling because of fuel prices and want those sold first before they anounce the 09 line up

It is highly unlikely that you will see the 6-speed TorqShift (6R140) transmission introduced for the '09 model year. It is more likely that you will see it introduced somtime during the '10 model year.

More information on the 09's should be available to the general public in about 6 weeks...

I believe if you count the converter lock up it would be 6spd. Im not sure how chevy and dodge count there transmission speeds?

No auto company counts the converter lock as a transmission speed.
