Does anybody know how to shut your interior and cab lights off when having your doors open to listen to the radio?

I have tried positions 2 and 3 and no luck

I have been fortunate that my cargo light never worked. I never liked it anyway...I have other lights for that. As for the interior, I took the bulb out the day I bought it. If I need interior lights, I use the map lights...they are plenty bright. That costs nothing, and accomplishes your goal. The final idea would be to put a kill switch on the cold side, so you could turn it off when you want to. Good luck.

My interior lights eventually go out after a pre-determinerd amount of time when I leave them open to listen to the radio or some other type of music.

There are 2 different sets of lights up there. 2 map lights (controlled by individual switches on the light) and the center light (dome) which comes on when doors open, or the interior light switch is turned on, on the dash. Just pull the bulb out of the dome light(s). When you need interior light, just flip the map lights on. Thats the simplest way. Otherwise you can tap into the power wire for the light, and put it on a toggle switch that would either function like normal, or turn them off until the switch was flipped back.

You just thought of a solution. Tap the wire that provides power to the dome light and install a switch. Or, just take the light out as someone else said. The latter is obviously easier if you're not adept with a soldering iron.
