Auto Unlock ??? Help

My truck has the keyboard on the outside of the truck and recently I though it would be a good idea to just leave the motor running when i get out of the truck for a couple of minutes....After all it is a diesel...

And of course it has that really cool key pad to let me back in when i get back. My guess is this would reduce the number of starts and hopefully the number of regens....

So guess what! I left the keys in the truck and went to close the door with it locked. And it automatically unlocked the door.

So okay how do I undo this feature so when I lock it it stays locked...

please help

I believe in the set on hte message center up on the cluster guages you can turn the auto lock on and off

I think you have to lock it by pushing the knob down by hand when you get out, not by using the electric lock button. That is how I do it on my 06' all the time.

You can also use the key fob to do this as well. I have a '04 that does the same thing so I got a key chain that you can be taken apart (Wal-Mart) and have the key on one end and the fob on the other.

Try locking it with the key pad. Push the two right buttons at the same time.

Yup, that did the trick. Climb out of truck, with keys in ignition and motor running then hit the 2 right buttons and it is locked, Cool
