With what you see in my sig I typically avg 13-14 driving in So. Calif. City/Hwy use. Around 18-19 if it's just Hwy station to station and 10-11 when it's just City driving. Just recently had two of my highest calcs at 14.7 and 15.3 with City/Hwy use.

Seriously? Do you mash the throttle at every intersection and floor it constantly on the highway? Are you always towing 7k lbs? That is horrible mileage for that specification truck! I have a 2008 F450, 4.88 gears, and with a mix of stop/go and backroads driving I usually get around 13mpg hand-calculated. On the highway towing around 15-18k lbs going 65 when I can over mountainous terrain I get 8.5 hand-calculated. Yours should be WAY better.

about 14-14.5 around town, empty with a very light foot. I avoid boosting over 10psi leaving stoplights unless I need to :-)
best case 18-18.5 straight shot freeway, station-to-station, moderately loaded, going 65-70mph

I experimented with a sheet of plywood over my crap on one trip simulating a tonneau cover. I got about 0.5mpg better than without it compared to 3 nearly identical 520mile freeway trips earlier.

oh, and I'm running 75psi on all 4 tires

bone stock 3.55 on 20's

I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. I've babied it and tried everything. I've even asked my dealer about my poor fuel economy. I was told that some r better than others.

I was in the same boat as you when my truck was stock. I had stock 20's with 3.73's and I was getting 11.5-11.8 cty and no more than 14 hwy. I put a lift on it and it only got worse. That's with my normal/aggressive driving style. I don't putt around. If I want to do that, I'll drive my Jeep.

My mileage didn't improve until I got a tuner and ditched the DPF and EGR systems. It's not great, but I'm seeing 14cty/17hwy now and average close to 15mpg mixed. If I didn't have the lift, I'm sure it would be a bit better.

Biggest downfall in mileage is lift and tires. But these trucks look so good when they are lifted.

I just bought my truck and after several tanks and babying my truck. I am getting a hand calcualted 10mpg. I live in Hawaii so no long runs. I am running a 10" lift on 22x40s. I have an aftermarket airbox and am running the Edge Evolution tuner, the rest is stock.

I tried to check the settings on the tuner and it said that I needed to update my tuner firmware that no files were found. I hope that is why my fuel mileage was so poor.

I do drive very hilly roads and average probably 45mph driving around. No real highway speeds here to speak of. I see so many people say they are getting 15-16mpg. I WISH I COULD GET THAT! 10MPG is expensive on the pocket!
