I've got an '08 XLT with the "XLT Sport" package that includes body-colored grille and bumpers.
Any thoughts on where the best place to buy an OEM chome grille (and probably bumpers, too) would be?
I'm in Michigan...........
Thanks, Ben
Hey Ben-
Just curious as to why you want to change your color coded fascia to chrome set-up?
I bought my winter front a few weeks ago from a Ford dealer on eBay in Illinois. He had a bunch of other OEM stuff on there too. I remember seeing a chrome grill and was shocked at the price. I think they were asking around 400.00-500.00.
New tires, new Leer XQ Shell, and a new Western V-Plow and we're about all set It goes way faster now, because my wallet is about 7-Grand lighter, too!
I am having the trans fluid and coolant flushed this week, along with changing fuel and air filters. I have a LR caliper that is sticking intermittently and has warped the LR rotor, so I am going to have some rear brake work done too.
Hopefully that's it for awhile!
The whole truck is monochrome (Dark Grey).......(with the exception of the 20" wheels and nerfs). With the topper, it is a bit bland, and my wife prefers the chrome grille. She wasn't a big fan of the truck from the start (not as lux as the POS Chevy we traded) so she's talking about adding leather/wood and rear DVD this winter. If a chrome grille and bumper makes her happy, it works for me
Yeah, but I'm not dropping $500 on a grille
Ben

i have to agree, mine is red (body color) and think it would look better chrome. I haven't seen a chrome grill anyplace but i have seen chrome covers for the grille on ebay (as well as mirrors and door handles). Not exactly the same thing but worth a look. I think the truck is still too new for aftermarket body parts to be available. Maybe in a year or two something cheaper will be available.
there is a place in lima, oh (close to MI) that sells take offs from indianas conversion bizs. they sell on ebay so search for location. prices are good. maybe they'll have somethin for ya.
