CB Connection to battery post

I have a galaxy Big Rig Series CB, it was connected directly to the battery post when installed in my 2002 F150. Now that I have the F250 SD Diesel, I'm not sure how to connect it for power. Any assistance is Greatly appreciated

I cant tell where to connect exactly, but I would connect it to a ignition controlled output. Running CB's for sometime, I can tell you that the CB needs the full 13.5 volt's from your alternator to operate at it's full potential.

Connecting it to the battery is ok for listening while the truck is off, but needs to be running for transmitting.

In this truck, just as in past trucks, I power it from the cigar lighter. The ground goes to the frame, but power from the lighter. It is already fused, plus the inline fuse the CB comes with. Right now mine is mounted via CB bracket under the Upfitter switches, with just enough space to open the glove box, but up above the boot for my stick. Looks good, easy to reach, and power cords out of the way.

The power harness that came with the Galaxy Radio, has 30 amp fuses on both the power lead and the ground. Wich battery on the 2008 SD is best to connect the CB Power and ground to. Thanks for your help

much to your dismay, 5 watts RF output does not require 30 amp fuses. It sounds like you have around a 100 watt RF output radio there or they are actually 3.0 amp fuses.
