I went in for a service bc its a work truck and want to keep my warrenty and the shock was leaking so they did a "bounce test"

what ever that is didnt beleve them at all. all they did is push on the bumper and it came all the way back up. but wait thats the job of the spring. DUMB @%$&^. called another dealer and they said there full of **** and geting taken care of now.... its just amazing how some people can stay in service.

what they were testing is the shocks ability to dampening the springs rebound, its a valid test of a worn shock, but not a leaking one.

how do they do that? i mean like everyone weighs differnt, all they did was push with his hands down.... that would seem to be highly inaccurate to me.

what the test does is this, a shocks job is to stop the spring from bouncing repeatedly. If you push down on the front end and the truck comes all the way back up, and then down and up again, the shocks arent doing their job. it has nothing to do with weight
