Will my cap from my O5' fit a new 08'? I am looking into a new truck and would like to keep my cap.

Im almost possitive. The none of the demensions of the beds have changed so you should be good.

It depends on your shells back door. If it has a rupper flap that meets the top of the tailgate then you're good to go. but if the shells back door is designed to cover a portion of the tailgate then it wont fit. When in the closed position, the 08 tailgate has an outward step across the top, (tailgate step) not allowing the backdoor of the shell to close properly. You could of course put an 07 tailgate on it and it would fit just fine.

If you have the optional tail gate step, there could be a problem, not sure why, but when I ordered a new cap the dealer was glad that I did not have the tailgate step. He told me that the mfg. was not making caps as yet that would accomodate that particular tail gate.

Of course it has the fancy tailgate, it would be too easy otherwise. Thanks for the help.
